A pre-meeting teaching course on Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) will be held, containing (a few) classroom-lessons and (plenty of) hands-on training. All aspects from treatment planning to QA (including plan validation measurements on the Linac) will be covered. The teaching course will be held at the University Clinic of Graz, nearby the conference venue.

Target audience: This teaching course is aimed at junior medical physicists wanting to improve their VMAT-skills or more senior specialists wanting to refresh and validate their knowledge and skills in this field.

We will be working with Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian) TPS, TrueBeam and Clinac Linacs (Varian), and various dosimetry- and verification tools.
